The Community Center has a conference room available for meetings, instructional classes, or social functions; simply call to check availability and reserve the space.  You are welcome to bring in refreshments to enjoy during your meetings.

DOG OBEDIENCE - 7 WEEKS COURSE
Instructor: Charlene Bruno
Class is open to all breeds of dogs three months and older and their adult handlers only.  Pets must complete all series of shots before enrollment in the course; proof of completion is required.

Initial Class is for Handlers only (no pets) at the Community Center and all other classes will be conducted at Freedom Park.  Classes are held Thursday evening from 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Course Fee:  $45.00

GYMBOREE
Instructor: Rachelle Birnbaum
Classes are held on Thursday morning from 9:30am – 10:05am for ages 12 through 23 months; 10:15am – 10:50 am and 11:00am – 11:35am for ages 24 through 48 months.
Class Fee:  $25.00 per month

JIU-JITSU
Instructor: Sidney Batista da Silva
Classes are held on Mondays 6:00pm – 7:00pm for ages 5 through adult.
Class Fee: $30.00 per month

KENPO KARATE

Classes are held on Saturdays 1:00pm – 3:00pm for ages 5 through 12 and 2:00pm – 4:00pm for ages 13 through adult.

KUNG FU

Classes are held on Saturdays 10:00am – 12:00pm for ages 5 through 14 and 11:30am – 1:00pm for ages 15 through adult.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS

Classes are held on Wednesday and Friday evening 6:00pm – 7:00 pm for ages 18 through adult.

TAE KWON DO

BALLET/TAP (Ages 3 – 6)

ADULT JAZZ

Classes are held on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm – 7:00pm for ages 18 through adult.

GUITAR LESSONS

Private lessons are 30 minutes and held on Tuesday evening between 4:30pm – 6:00pm; and Thursday evenings
between 4:30pm – 6:30pm for ages 6 through adult.
Group lessons are 45 minutes and held on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm – 6:45pm for ages 6 through adult.
Private: $25.00 per lesson
Group: $15.00 per lesson

PIANO LESSONS
Instructors: Dennis Mellen (Tues/Thurs); Stephen Milo (Mon/Wed); and Sandra Jackson (Friday)
Private lessons are 30 minutes and held Monday through Friday afternoons from 4:00pm – 6:30pm for ages 6
through adult.
Fee: $15.00 per lesson

CONGRESSIONAL AWARD PROGRAM– The Congressional Award Program recognizes young people 14 to 23 years of age for achieving individual goals in four program areas: Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness and Expedition/Exploration.  Why not join thousands of young people already earning the congressional award.  It’s for you!  Call 652-5014 for ages 18 to 23 to register in this exciting program.  For additional information, please visit www.congressionalaward.org.

Base Swap Meet – This activity is held once a month on a Saturday from 9:00a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the front parking lot of building 625. The stall rental is $5 each. 

Annual events include:

Missoula Children’s Theater – The Missoula Children’s Theatre is an annual Air Force International Tour Program. It is an open audition for grades 1 thru 12 with over 50 roles available for our local children. Rehearsals are normally conducted Monday – Thursday, with a free performance on Friday & Saturday at the base theater.

Family & Teen Talent Show –It’s that time of year…show us what kind of “talent” your family has.  The event is held in the November/ December timeframe.  There are 15 categories that families and teens can compete in (youth ages are 3-18).  This event brings out the best in families and the winners in each category are submitted via videotape to compete Air Force wide.

Rent-A- Santa Suit – When the holidays are upon us and you wonder where to get that all important “Santa or Elf Suit,” the Community Center is the place to go. This is a great way to enhance your holiday party or put a spark in your little one’s eyes. Having a Santa Claus and an Elf at a party is always a hit. They all include the jacket, pants, boot covers, gloves, wig, hair, beard and hat. (You have to provide your own padding.) Suit rentals are from late November until Christmas. Prices: Santa $25.00 per day and Elf $15.00 per day.

Tops In Blue –These elite Air Force entertainers perform annually at Nellis AFB.  The Community Center is responsible for organizing their visit.  Their exciting, crowd pleasing shows have been held at both on and off base venues.  Tops In Blue is such a great tradition that we all look forward to every year.
